Martha Macek

Martha Macek, 82, of Edna, died Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2007.

She was born on Jan. 22, 1925 in El Campo to Frank and Louise Pavlicek Cerny. Martha was a dedicated and loving mother, who cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved cooking, baking, gardening, and sewing.

Survivors include her daughters, Joyce Faglie and husband Larry of Edna, Karen Ham and husband Butch of Inez and Ada Martin and husband David of Bryan; sons, Frank Macek Jr. of El Campo, Clarence Macek and wife Nitaya of Louise, Edwin Macek of Edna and Allan Macek of Austin; sisters, Evelyn Burrow of Bay City, Rosemary Boatwright of Markham and Mildred Williams of Sugar Land; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Macek Sr., son, Charles Ray Macek; and sisters, Tillie Kalinec and Lillie Mae Williams.

Funeral services will be today, Saturday, Oct. 27 at 2 p.m. at Triska Funeral Home with the Rev. Andy Schroer officiating. Burial will be at Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Clint Macek, Chris Lewis, Craig Boatwright, Cody Martin, and Clifford Williams and Eric Macek.
