Carl Morrison

Carl Gene Morrison Sr., 78, of Olivia, and formerly of El Campo, died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2007.

He was born on Jan. 25, 1929 in Porter, Okla. to Richard and Alice Eubanks Morrison. He had served in the U.S. Army and was a retired DPS trooper.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Emily Zaruba Morrison of Olivia; sons, Michael Malandrakis and wife Carolyn of Victoria and Carl Morrison Jr. and wife Kathy of El Campo; daughters, Anna Long and husband Vernon of Yoakum, Michelle Rachunek and husband Allen of Wharton, Theresa Krenek and husband Joe of Port O'Connor and Eileen Gonzales and husband Lupe of League City; sisters, Edna Thomas of California and Mildred Urbina of Okla.; brothers, Bobby and Walter Morrison of Okla., Billy Morrison of Austin and Paul Morrison of Houston;16 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

A Rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m. today, Saturday, Oct. 27 at Triska Funeral Home followed by funeral services at 10 a.m. with Fred Krenek officiating. Burial will be at the Olivia Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Triska Funeral Home.

His grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Memorials in memory of Carl Morrison Sr., may be made to the Olivia Cemetery.
