EC Library's book fair offers great finds & gifts

The El Campo Branch Library is holding its semi-annual Scholastic Book Fair. There is a wide variety of books and novelties available to purchase.

The library makes no money from the book fair, but does get new books to add to its collection.

There are hard-cover books available such as The Diary of a Fly, Fluffy and Baron, and Great Tidings, a holiday book. Books in English and Spanish are also available.

There are beginning reader books, picture books and young adult reading books. Even the youngest members of the family can find baby board books for their enjoyment.

Non-fiction books are available to discover animals and insects, as well as Ripley's Believe It or Not, American Chopper, and various sports personalities.

The new fad in books are graphic novels and there is a variety of those available to purchase also.

With the changing of the seasons, you can find books about various holidays to buy and call your own. Computer buffs can find a variety of children's games, which make great Christmas gifts.

There are inexpensive books starting at $2 and up.

Novelty items include a motion sensor for your bedroom, a microscope, piggy bank kits, solar robots, pencils, book marks, highlighters and many other items.

The Book Fair runs through Saturday, Nov. 10 and is open during regular library hours, Monday: 10 a.m.-8 p.m., Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturdays, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
