Charles & Viola Ceasar celebrate 50th anniversary

Charles and Viola Ceasar celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at 5 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 27, 2007 at the El Campo Civic Center. The couple's children and grandchildren hosted the special occasion.
Children include Latricia White of Waller and Beverly Sutherland of Austin. Grandchildren are Donovan, twins Jacoby and Jonathon, Jacorie, Kayla and Trinity White; and Ashley and twins Devon and Daniel Sutherland. They have one great-grandchild, Alexis Monae Sutherland.
Decorations featured gold and white accents, 20 decorated tables with gold and white linens, balloons and double rings for party favors. Gold candles were placed on each table with custom-made place settings in gold and white.
A special celebration for the immediate family was held at 3 p.m., Sunday at the couple's residence. Entertainment was provided by the gospel group It's Not About Us. Food was catered by Paul's Diner.
Charles Ceasar and Viola Parson were married Oct. 26, 1957 at Sandies Community Baptist Church by the Rev. A.A. Hargrove. Maid of honor was Clara Mae Cunningham and best man was Robert Cunningham. For the past 47 years, the couple have made their home in El Campo. Charles is retired and Viola is a housewife.
