Halloween costume party held for Lauren Reyna's 1st birthday

Lauren Reyna celebrated her first birthday with a Halloween costume party from 2-5 p.m., Saturday at Pincher's Party Pad. Lauren dressed as Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz.

Hosting the party were her parents, Jesse and Kim Reyna.

Halloween decorations, pumpkins and candy corn carried out the party theme. Games played included bobbing for apples, bean bag toss, doing the limbo, breaking a piñata and pin-the-nose on the pumpkin.

The birthday girl and guests were served hamburgers and hot dogs with all the trimmings, along with beans, chips, dips, cookies, cupcakes, popcorn and cake.

Special guests were David and Berta Gonzales and Jessie and Emma Reyna, grandparents; Frank and Cesilia Canales and Oralia Gutierrez, great-grandparents; and Josh Canales and Melissa Gutierrez, godparents.

Lauren received many gifts, including clothes, money, toys, a red wagon, Baby Leap Pad, Disney princess couch and suitcase, 2-in-1 learning kitchen and a pink push-around buggy.
