Shiner parishioners rolling out dough for annual strudel bake

Parishioners of Sts. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Shiner are making finals plans for their 21st annual strudel bake.

If this year proves to be similar to previous strudel bakes, members of the church will roll out more than 2,600 strudels. Anyone interested in obtaining some of these famous Czech-style holiday treats should place their orders soon.

To order, call 361-782-6830. Delivery will be available in El Campo and Wharton. Strudels are $10 each. They come frozen and keep well in the freezer, always ready to pop into the oven. Simple baking instructions are included. Delivery to El Campo is Sunday, Nov. 11. Order deadline is Nov. 9.
