Gladys Brandin

Gladys Elizabeth Wendel Brandin, 86, died Sunday, Oct. 21, 2007.

She was born June 20, 1921 in El Campo to Clifton and Anna Jane Cranek Wendel. As the wife of an Air Force veteran, she traveled and lived all over the world.

Survivors include her sister, Lucille Taliaferro; daughter, Marlene Kocurek; and sons, Ron Brandin and Wayne Brandin; grandchildren, Anita Rod, Paula Gabrysch, Denise Sather, Jennifer Kocurek, Angela Kocurek, Kevin Brandin and Sean Brandin; and great-grandchildren, Keith Gabrysch, Kristen Gabrysch, Garrett Rod, Audra Rod, Cassie Sanchez, Katie Sanchez, Jack Sather and Henry Sather.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Luther George Brandin; and brothers, Leon and Milton 'Jimmy' Wendel.

Interment will be Tuesday, Nov. 6 at 1:45 p.m. at the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio. Funeral services provided personally and gracefully by Puente & Sons Funeral Chapel.
