GED course costs about to increase

The cost of taking a GED test will soon be going up.

Wharton County Junior College Student Services has announced that the General Education Development (GED) test will have a price increase effective Jan. 1.

The current GED test cost of $75 will increase to $77 due to a $2 price increase at the scoring center in Austin. The new $77 cost will be effective Jan. 1, at all WCJC campuses including Sugar Land, Richmond, Bay City and Wharton.
