EC clinches playoffs with Spartan blowout

      The Ricebirds showed just what an efficient offense and stingy defense can do Friday night when they hosted the Seven Lakes Spartans. El Campo came away with a 41-14 win to clinch a spot in the playoffs for the second consecutive year in a game that was practically decided in the first half.

EC FRESHMAN FOOTBALL UPDATE
      Freshman Red El Campo made the first score of the game on a great run by the quarterback. Andrew Catete blew by the Falcons for a 65-yard touchdown. He ran in for the 2-point conversion to give the Ricebirds an 8-0 lead with 7:08 left in the first quarter.
