Houston Rodeo entertainment announced

Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo officials announced Monday four exciting superstars as part of the lineup for the 2008 as well as season ticket and miniseason ticket package options.

The only sure way to see these four great performances, plus 16 more, is with Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo season tickets, which are on sale now.

Season tickets start as low as $650 a pair, which includes a $10 handling fee. There are ample season tickets available for the field and club levels of Reliant Stadium.

Mini-season ticket packages, with nine performances in each package, will go on sale at 9 a.m. today. Mini-season ticket packages cost $298 or $352 a pair, which includes a $10 handling fee.

Black Heritage Day, Friday, March 7, and Go Tejano Day, Sunday, March 16, will be sold as individual tickets and are not included in the mini-season ticket packages. The full 2008 RODEOHOUSTON line-up will be announced Jan. 7, 2008. Individual tickets will go on sale Jan. 12.

Season tickets and miniseason ticket packages can be purchased by calling the show's ticket office at 832-667-1080, or by visiting the show's ticket office on the second floor of Reliant Center.

The show's ticket office is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Season tickets and mini-season ticket packages are not available at other ticket outlets, including Ticketmaster.

The 2008 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo runs Monday, March 3, through Saturday, March 22.

The show is a Section 501(c)(3) charitable event, committed to benefiting youth, supporting education, and facilitating better agricultural practices through exhibitions and presentation.

Since its beginning in 1932, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo has contributed more than $220 million to scholarships, research, endowments, calf scramble participants, junior show exhibitors, the Rodeo Institute for Teacher Excellence, School Art participants, and other educational and youth programs.
