Minor Injuries
The whole top of the pickup atop this tow truck was peeled off during a wreck which occurred around 9 a.m. on Halloween at the first southbound U.S. 59 exit into El Campo. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the Ford F-350 pickup's driver, Robert Lee Robins, 76, of Houston allegedly took the exit too fast and ran into the back of the legally parked tractor-trailer rig shown in this photo. The pickup hit the back of the trailer, then the back tire of the cab. The tractor trailer's driver, Antwan Miller, was not injured in the accident. Robins was taken to El Campo Memorial Hospital with non-incapacitating injuries, and later cited for failure to control speed.
