Dave Nafegar

Dave G. Nafegar, 74, of Houston, formerly of El Campo, died Saturday, Nov. 3, 2007.

He was born Dec. 31, 1932 in El Campo to Santana and Josephine Gonzalez Nafegar. He was a rice dryer supervisor and a U.S. Navy veteran.

He is survived by his daughters, Naomi Garcia and Yolanda Rivera; son, David Wayne Nafegar; sisters, Mary Perez, Lydia Martinez, Cecilia Castellanos, Nancy Zamarripa, Jozi Morgan, Bel Sanchez, Esther Reiner and Teresa Szelc; brothers, Michael, Ruben and Joe Nafegar; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Julia Rivera Nafegar ; and granddaughter, Melissa Garcia.

A rosary was recited Monday, Nov. 5 at 7 p.m. at Triska Funeral Home. Funeral Mass was held Tuesday, Nov. 6 at 10 a.m. at St. Robert's Catholic Church. Graveside services followed at La Colonia Cemetery under the auspices of the American Legion Post 251.
