      Louise ISD administration stepped into action quickly after voters failed to pass the tax rate passed by the LISD board. Louise school district voters Tuesday turned down a tax rate higher than the state recommends when the proposed rate failed by a 90-99 tally.

Honoring Our Veterans
      Public and parochial school students observed Veterans Day Friday with programs put on for the public. Veterans were treated as special guests. The middle school program will be held Monday at 9 a.m. in the new gym. A full house was on hand for this Myatt Elementary program.
