Leslie and Donna Hermansen of El Campo announce the engagement of their daughter, Laura Beth Hermansen, to Shawn Travis Hickl, son of David Hickl of El Campo and Marilyn Rutledge of Weimar. The couple's wedding is set for 3 p.m., Feb. 23, 2008 at Christ Lutheran Church in El Campo. The bride-to-be is a May 2007 graduate of Texas A&M University with a degree in marketing. She is the assistant manager at Walgreens in El Campo. The future groom is an August 2003 graduate of Texas A&M University with a degree in agronomy. He is employed in sales for Wood Group Production Testing in El Campo.
