Ticket sales, rallies set for both teams

The El Campo Ricebirds and Louise Hornets will both participate in the first round of UIL football playoffs this week, with Louise rolling to Rockport Friday to play Bruni at 7:30 p.m., and the Ricebirds flying up U.S. 59 to Rosenberg to play La Marque at Traylor Stadium at 2 p.m.

El Campo Tickets On Sale

Tickets for El Campo's game against La Marque went on sale Tuesday at the Administration Building. Tickets will be sold today and Thursday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., and on Friday from 8 a.m. to noon.

Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students. All tickets at the gate are $6.

Sendoff Planned Saturday

ECHS Principal Rich DuBroc said in lieu of the customary Friday morning pep rally that a sendoff for the team will be held Saturday. Fans are advised to start lining Pecan Street and the drive behind the field house starting at 10:15-10:30 a.m. The team plans to leave for Rosenberg at 10:45 a.m.

Louise Pep Rally Thursday

Louise football fans are invited to Hornet Stadium Thursday at 6 p.m. for a sendoff pep rally. The team will leave for Rockport High School's Pirate Stadium at 2:45 p.m. Friday.

Tickets Sold At Gate Only

Tickets for the Louise vs. Bruni playoff game will be sold at the stadium only. Cost is $5 for adults and $2 for high school age students and younger, and senior citizens.
