Results of the St. Philip Catholic School's PTO Halloween carnival are in. According to publicity chairwoman Terri Mehrens Jones, "It was a great success."
In addition to the carnival, ticket sales for prizes were also a big hit.
"This is the most ever on raffle sales," Jones said. "It is the best we have ever done."
According to principal Gwen Edwards, "Proceeds will be used as part of the school's budget. It goes toward running the school."
This includes classroom supplies and teachers' needs.
"The money helps the school to run efficiently," Edwards added.
Upcoming PTO activities will begin in the new year. The annual Read-A-Thon is set for Jan. 25, followed by Catholic Schools' Week Jan. 28 - Feb. 1. Each day will include a theme, such as "Grandparents Day," which has welcomed anywhere from 500-600 guests and students for lunch.
