Guadalupe Casarez
She was born on May 12, 1924 in Dewitt County to Luis and Anita Alvarez Longoria. Survivors include her husband, Justino Casarez of El Campo; daughters, Susie Escochea and husband Refugio of Needville, Martina Banda and husband Joe of El Campo, Gloria Delgado of El Campo and Elisa Romero and husband Benjamin of Pasadena; sons, Justino Casarez Jr. and wife Dora of El Campo, Manuel Casarez and wife Grace of El Campo; sister, Lucy Longoria of Arizona; 23 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandchildren, Patricia Ebarra, Marcus Ray Romero and Jessie Lynn Escochea; sister, Elvira Canales; brothers, Thomas and Manuel Longoria. A Parish Wake Rosary was recited Friday, Nov. 23 at 7 p.m. at Triska Funeral Home. Funeral services will be today, Saturday, Nov. 24, at 10 a.m. at St. Robert's Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Holy Cross Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Triska Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Gabriel Escochea, Mario Banda, Dave Ebarra, Marcus Calzoncinth, Christopher Casarez and Matthew Casarez. Honorary pallbearers are all of her grandchildren. |
