KARATE TOURNAMENT RESULTS

Several people from the area took part in the Oct. 27 Victoria Karate Tournament and earned high placings and trophies at the event.

The following is a list of people who represented Richardson Family Karate and the Boys & Girls Club of El Campo at Victoria:

Dwayne Holt - (first-degree black belt) took first in Traditional Kata and Weapon Kata.

Amy Driscoll - (first-degree brown belt) took first in Traditional Kata, Creative Kata and Weapon Kata.

Mikki Hogan - (blue belt) won first in Traditional Kata and Weapon Kata and finished second in Sparring

Colton Leopold - (blue belt) took second in Sparring and Weapon Kata and claimed third in Traditional Kata.

Cheyenne Weeks - (orange belt) finished first in Traditional Kata and second in Sparring.

Andrew Sliva - (yellow belt) finished second in Traditional Kata and third in Sparring.

Jacob Sliva - (yellow belt) took second in Traditional Kata and third in Sparring.

Matthew Sliva - (yellow belt) claimed second in Sparring and third in Traditional Kata.

Rhys Kennedy - (white belt) finished first in Traditional Kata and Sparring.

Shaqueela Ellis - (white belt) took second in Traditional Kata.

Montierra Ellis - (white belt) claimed first in Traditional Kata.
