Breakfast With Santa In Taiton The Pilot Club of El Campo is hosting its 5th Annual Breakfast with Santa at the St. John Catholic Church Parish Hall in Taiton Saturday from 8:30-11:30 a.m. Breakfast tickets are $4. Photographs with Santa will be by Jay Saucedo. Drawing tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5. Quilt tickets are $5 each and only 500 sold. Elks To Remember Deceased Members El Campo Elks Lodge will hold its annual memorial service Sunday at 11 a.m. at the lodge to honor members who have died since the last service. TUESDAY, DEC. 4 Learn More About WCJC WCJC's coordinator of recruiting, Julie Aaronson, will be at the Northside Education Center Tuesday, Dec. 4 from 4-6 p.m. George Lehnert from the financial aid office will also be available for any financial aid questions. Anyone interested in attending WCJC is invited to drop by and visit with them regarding admissions, registration, educational programs and testing. DON'T FORGET Books Are Fun Book Fair El Campo Memorial Hospital Sunshine Ladies is hosting a Books Are Fun book fair Wednesday, Dec. 5 from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Thursday, Dec. 6 from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Children's books, general interest and reference books, education books, cook books, religious and inspirational, sports, photo albums, stationery, toys, videos, music and much more. Great Christmas gift items. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Sunshine Ladies. Register For Christmas Parade Christmas Around the World is the theme for this year's lighted Christmas Parade at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6. Entry forms are available at the Chamber of Commerce. Scouts Collecting Toys At Parade Cub Scout Pack 196, sponsored by the Rotary Club, will collect toys and non-perishable food items during the Christmas Parade on Thursday, Dec. 6. Citywide Christmas Tree Established A Citywide Christmas Tree has been created again this year, by First Convenience Bank in coordination with New Life Assembly of God and Angels on a Mission to help meet the needs of local families during the holidays. Donations of new and gently-used items will be accepted at the bank, located inside Wal-Mart, or people may help out by selecting someone from the tree and buying them gifts. Veterans Service Office Hours The office of Wharton County Veterans Service Officer Harvey H. Stelzel Jr. is open Tuesdays and Wednesdays through Dec. 19. Derby Dolls Sell Engraved Bricks The Derby Doll Booster Club is selling engraved bricks to be displayed in front of the new practice gym on the high school campus. The bricks may contain your name, class, organization or business, or can be in honor or memory of someone. Bricks sell for $40 for two lines and $50 for three lines.
