Replacement For The Ragged Old Flag
El Campo paramedic Ben Altenhoff runs a crisp, new version of Old Glory up the flag pole at the El Campo Fire & EMS Station Monday morning. The poles are positioned to complement the fire department's memorial in front of the building. During its 99 year history, the El Campo department hasn't lost a volunteer while fighting a fire. Instead, the memorial recognizes deceased lifetime members.
