Police Blotter City Arrests Alcohol, drugs Jessie Walker, 46, of 1610 S. Mechanic was arrested at 4:53 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23 on charges of possession of 2 ounces or less or marijuana and no insurance and a warrant for open alcohol container in a motor vehicle after being stopped for speeding. He was transferred to Wharton County Jail the next day and released that same day on $3,000 bond. Derrick Allen Gundelach, 27, of 1601 Roehl was arrested at 11:40 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23 on a charge of driving while intoxicated - second offense, after running a stop sign and speeding. He was released at 12:15 p.m. the next day on $5,000 bond. Alexander Gonzales, 38, of 808 Hayden was arrested at 9:49 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24 on a charge of public intoxication and two warrants for public intoxication. He remained in custody at presstime. Demond Depree Bluntson, 32, of 803 Dunlap was arrested at 1:47 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27 on charges of possession of 2 ounces or less of marijuana, tampering with physical evidence, evading arrest and no insurance, and on a warrant for evading arrest or detention. Police report they saw Bluntson drive off after being parked in a handicapped parking spot at a convenience store. After stopping in a private drive, he allegedly ran from police, throwing away a bag of marijuana. Bluntson was pepper sprayed as he was taken into custody. He remained in custody at presstime. Property Juan J. Flores, 39, of 7711 Hawes in Hungerford was arrested at 8:25 a.m. Friday, Nov. 23 on two warrants for issuance of a bad check. He was released the same day after paying $817.80 in fines. Violence, weapons Irene Lopez Cruz, 44, of 102 Laura Lane was arrested at 7:45 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24 on a warrant for assault causes bodily injury. She was released at 9:35 a.m. the next day on $2,500 bond. Public intoxication: 3. Minor assault reports: El Campo area, 2; Danevang area, 1. City Incidents Property Gloria Konvicka reported criminal mischief causing $300 damage to a vehicle parked at El Campo Bowling Center, 806 West Loop, between 5:30 and 9:35 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20. Robert Torres reported debit card abuse between Nov. 19 and Nov. 24. Violence, weapons Tabitha Gibson reported telephone harassment between May 12 and Nov. 23. County Incidents Property Dane's Country Store, 11433 Hwy. 71 in Danevang, reported forgery of two checks totaling $1,353 on Thursday, Nov. 15. Mary Cazarez reported unauthorized use of a motor vehicle parked at 407 CR 453 in El Campo between 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16 and 4:40 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18. Burglars did $20 damage to a trailer house's door then stole a Ford F-150 truck worth $31,000. County Jail Bookings Alcohol, drugs Jacob H. Nichols, 21, of 4417 FM 1300 in El Campo was booked at 1:50 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21 for possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.
