COURT REPORTS A jail sentence for drug possession and a probation for a man who fled police were among the sentences meted out by 329th District Court Judge Randy Clapp during November court actions. Those pleading guilty to felony crimes and accepting punishment included: • Hugo Ernesto Hernandez aka Evelio Romero, 23, of 3301 Coffee Port in Brownsville for possession of marijuana. He was sentenced to 45 days in county jail with credit for time served. • Jamal Rashad Davis, 17, of 1404 Business Ave. in El Campo for tampering with physical evidence. He was placed on three years deferred probation, fined $200 and ordered to perform 120 hours community service. With deferred probation, the conviction won't be counted against Davis if he is able to complete all terms. • Christopher Limas, 19, of 907 Spanish Camp for criminal mischief. He was placed on two years deferred probation and sentenced to 14 days in county jail. Limas was also ordered to perform 120 hours community service and pay $1,985.23 restitution. He received credit for time already served. • David Samuel Flores, 17, of 1407 Pinchot for escape. He was placed on three years probation and sentenced to 90 days in county jail as a condition of probation. Flores must also perform 120 hours community service. |
