Mary Popp Mary Teresa Popp, 90, of Nada died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2007. She was born Jan. 30, 1917 in Windthorst to the late Albert and Mary Stanzel Winter. She was a homemaker, member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters of America and Christian Mothers. She is survived by her daughters, Josephine Fucik and husband George of Louise, Agnes Wendel and husband Deacon Edward of Hillje, Rosalie Machac and husband Clifton James of Victoria; son, Andrew Popp of Nada; brothers, Joe Winter of Kansas and Albert Winter of Hillje; sisters, Mathilda Danler of Kansas and Annie Gandy of Ingleside; seven grandchildren, 20 greatgrandchildren, and one greatgreat grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Louis A. Popp; brothers, Fred and John Winter; and great-granddaughter, Megan Wendel. Visitation was Monday at Triska Funeral Home followed by a rosary there. A CDA rosary was held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2007 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Nada. A Funeral Mass was held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2007, at St. Mary's with the Rev. Anthony Boateng-Mensah officiating. Interment followed at St. Mary's Cemetery under the direction of Triska Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Mark Wendel, Kevin Tegeler, Bruce Korenek, Terry Supak, Chris Fucik, Stephen Lutringer and John Weston Roades. Memorial donations may be made to St. Mary's Church or Hospice Support Care. |
