Week 13 contest results announced

All three prizes of the El Campo Leader-News Football Contest were determined by Tiebreaker 1 this week.

Jerry Williams and John Paul Appling both tied for first place with only two misses and beat out a pack of entries with three misses.

The combined score of the Houston Texans game with the Cleveland Browns was 44 points and Williams came closest.

Williams guessed 39 total points and finished only five away from perfect. He will receive a $25 check and $25 dinein credit at Pizza Hut for finishing first in Week 13.

Appling guessed 59 total points and claimed second place and will receive a check of $15.

Third place was close as nine contestants tied with three misses.

Jeff Stavena came out on top with a guess of 42 points and will receive a check of $15.
