City to debate annexation resolution on Monday agenda

The City Development Corp. of El Campo will consider a resolution in support of the areas City Council wants to annex when the agency holds a called meeting Monday.

In a 4-3 vote Tuesday, with representatives Robert, City Council tentatively approved its revised annexation plans minus the Sunset Terrace neighborhood on FM 2765.

The CDC board will also review its property tax statements and decide whether to approve payment Monday. Last year, the agency appealed its valuations before payment, since the appraised value of the agency's industrial park properties rose steeply.

Directors will then hold a closed session to deliberate economic development negotiations, consult with its attorney and discuss personnel matters.

The meeting begins at 3 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3 in the Northside Education Center conference room, 707 Fahrenthold.
