Wilda Moore
Wilda "Woody" Moore, 75, of Lake Charles, died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2007 in a local hospital.
Born Oct. 2, 1932, Mrs. Moore was raised in El Campo and lived for almost 50 years in Houma, LA. She worked as a sales person for most of her life. Mrs. Moore was involved with the Girl Scouts for over forty years. Her joy in life was traveling with her husband. During her traveling she enjoyed hosting campgrounds for numerous summers. She moved to Lake Charles four years ago and had been working at Sams as a product demonstrator.
Mrs. Moore is survived by her husband of twenty-seven years, Donald Earl Moore of Lake Charles; three sons, Glyn Michael "Mike" Runnels and wife Karen of San Antonio, Patrick Ray Runnels and wife Angel and Daniel Brian Belicek, all of Broken Arrow, Okla.; daughter, Diane Womack of Thibodaux, LA; step-daughters, Margie Whitney and husband Don, Sandra Moore, and Nancy Liner and husband Troy, all of Houma, LA and Donna Knight of Pace, Fla.; brothers, Claude Hales Jr. of Bay City and James Hales of Houma, LA; sister, Connie Moore of Houma, LA; grandchildren, Jennifer Runnels, Christopher Runnels, Patrick Runnels Jr., Madison Runnels, Morgan Runnels, Maleigha Runnels, Joshua Womack and Ethan Belicek; close friends, Jane Wilson, Clair Muller, Fay Hebert, and Theresa McDaniel; along with numerous other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Doris Pounder.
Arrangements were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles.
