ST. PHILIP BASKETBALL UPDATE

A new season has begun for St. Philip and the Pioneers started it with a few great games.

The Pioneers A team moved to 3-0 on the basketball season after an easy win over Columbus St. Anthony. The B team also claimed a win in an exciting game.

St. Philip, St. Anthony St. Philip A

The Pioneers held on for a 37-24 win over St. Anthony.

Lauren Gregurek scored a team-high 18 points while Rebecca Korenek scored 15 and Kirby Quintero scored 4 points.

St. Philip B

St. Philip's defense held St. Anthony to exactly the right amoung as the Pioneers claimed a 14-12 win.

Kayelyn Korenek and Taylor Fuechec both scored 4 poitns while Michaela Thornton, Allison Fucik and Kari Wilkins each scored 2 points in the win.

St. Philip, St. Michael

The Pioneers' A team had no trouble with St. Michael as they rolled to a 42-10 win.

Gregurek led St. Philip with 18 points while Jessica Fucik scored 8, Rebecca Dornak scored 6, Quintero and Korenek both scored 4 and Shelby Snyder scored 2 points.

St. Philip, St. Rose

For their first game of the year, the Pioneers took on Schulenberg St. Rose. The A and B teams split in a pair of season-opening games.

St. Philip A

The Pioneers earned an easy 40-21 win over St. Rose to start the year 1-0.

Gregurek scored a teamhigh 18 points while Snyder scored 10, Korenek scored 8 and Quintero scored 4 points.

St. Philip B

St. Rose defeated St. Philip 32-8 in a tough game.

Fuechec led the Pioneers with 6 points. Amy Bremser added 2 points on the night.
