COURT REPORTS

Probation was the outcome in a number of stolen vehicle cases, being among the sentences given by 329th District Court Judge Randy Clapp during November court actions. Those pleading guilty to felony crimes and accepting punishment included:

• Refugio Mendoza-Herandez, 25, of 218 N. Yale in Garland for evading arrest or detention. He was placed on two years probation and ordered to perform 120 hours community service. A charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle was set aside as part of the plea agreement.

• Gregory Kuykendall, 48, address unavailable, for possession of a controlled substance in a drug-free zone. He was placed on five years deferred probation and sentenced to 45 days in county jail as a condition of that probation. Kuykendall must also pay $250 restitution. He received credit for time already served.

• Anthony Dwayne Hunter, 45, of 22707 Carter Moir Lane in Katy for unlawful possession of a firearm. He was placed on two years probation with a 90-day county jail sentence as a condition. Hunter received credit for time already served.

• Jacolby Dejuan Dickerson, 19, of 7611 Habernacher in Hungerford for burglary of a habitation. He was placed on two years deferred probation and ordered to pay $2,466.67 restitution. Dickerson also must perform 60 hours community service.

• Antonio Flores, 26, of 810 E. Mulberry in Wharton for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. He was placed on three years probation, fined $200 and ordered to perform 120 hours community service.

• Robert Tinsley Spriggs, 40, of 5022 Spring Forest Dr. in Houston for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. He was placed on two years deferred probation and fined $300.

• Brandon Wayne Ellison, 23, of 306 Hoover in Edna for possession of a controlled substance. He was sentenced to 10 days in county jail and given credit for time served.

• Jerome Till Smith, 23, of 3447 CR 161 in Wharton for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. He was sentenced to six months in state jail and ordered to pay $2,000 restitution. Smith received credit for some time already served.

• Donovan Richardson, 27, of 601 Correll in Wharton for burglary of a building. He was sentenced to 180 days in county jail and ordered to pay $193.08 restitution. Richardson received credit for some time already served.
