Virginia Goff

Virginia Alice Mack Gordon Goff, 90, of Louise, died Tuesday, Nov. 29 at her residence.

She was born Jan. 8, 1917 in Sabinal to George Herman and Lorena Ware Mack.

Mrs. Goff was a homemaker and had been employed by the San Antonio Independent School District for 12 years. She was a member of Sunset Ridge Church of Christ, El Campo Church of Christ, Daughters of the Republic of Texas, Descendants of San Jacinto, Magna Charta Dames, Daughters of the American Revolution, United Daughters of the Confederacy, Daughters of 1812, Daughters of the American Colonists, National Society Colonial Dames XVII Century and San Antonio Historical and Geneology Society.

Survivors include her daughter, Jan Goff and husband Kenneth of Louise; granddaughters, Adrienne Goff of Bastrop, Shanna Goff-Sulak and husband Jason of El Campo; sister in-law, Bettye Mack of San Antonio; and family members Diane Cantrell and husband Rich, David Mack and wife Jane, Gay Estes and husband Carl, Gordon R. Gooch, Wayne Goff and wife Gloria, Merle Goff and various other members of the family.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Alvin Gordon; and second husband, E.G. Goff.

Funeral services will be Friday, Dec. 7 at 10 a.m. in San Antonio at Porter Loring Mortuary North with graveside services at 11:30 a.m. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Rob Mack, Jeremy Mack, Tom Railey, Gary Railey, David Mack, Rich Cantrell and Wade Mack.

The family asks that memorials be made to Houston Hospice El Campo or El Campo Church of Christ.

The family wishes to thank Janet Holub, Judy Lovejoy, Janice Trotter, Mollie Nichols, Audrey Long and Marie Hart for their loving care of Missy.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Wheeler Funeral Home.
