EC swim team finishes third with five girls

El Campo's girls swim team traveled to Brazosport Saturday for another meet, but this time had a limited team.

Only five girls made the trip to compete against Angleton, Brazosport and Brazoswood's two teams, but El Campo managed a good outing and came home with the third-place plaque.

Blythe Nava, Sarah Rowland, Maci Lilie, Kristi Galow and Hailey O'Briant teamed up for El Campo's latest event. The Lady 'Birds gave a strong effort despite swimming against larger teams and had a successful day.

After the Brazosport meet, El Campo hosted Manvel Tuesday and will host Angleton Dec. 11. They are the last meets before El Campo competes at the University of Houston Dec. 14 and 15.
