Week 14 winners named Week 14 of the Leader-News Football Contest came down to another tie. Shane Wagner, Jeff Little, Bobby Little, Ronnie Johnson, Betty Roades, Lawrence Dorotik and James Voldan each missed five games this week for a firstplace tie. To determine a winner, each contestant predicted the total points for Sunday's Houston Texans and Tennessee Titans game. With the Titans outscoring the Texans 28-20, the total score was 48. The first tiebreaker could not help much this week as Dorotik and Bobby Little each missed by only one point. It did, however, determine third place. Only two points shy of the total score, Johnson will receive a check for $10. To figure out the week's champion, Tiebreaker 2 came into play. The total offensive yards from the Texans and Titans game was 697. Dorotik guessed perfectly and will receive a $25 check and $25 dine-in credit at Pizza Hut. Second place goes to Little, who only missed by 27 yards. He will receive a $15 check. For only two more weeks, the football contest can be found in Wednesday's edition of the sports section and online at www.leader-news.com. |
