City Arrests Property

Rodney Eugene Barnes, 25, of 1415 W. Norris was arrested at 8:37 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5 on a warrant for theft. He remained in custody at presstime.

Mourilio Torres Jr., 41, of 2524 N. Richmond in Wharton was arrested at 10:02 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5 on warrants for issuance of a bad check and no insurance. He was released the same day after paying $511.78 in fines.

City Incidents Property

Azailla Hernandez reported theft of a $1,000 gas tank from a sedan parked at 708 McGrew between 2 and 6 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1.

Ben Brumlow III of Houston reported criminal mischief at 2100 W. Norris between Nov. 17 and Sunday, Dec. 2. Vandals broke a $350 window.

Jessie Roberts reported burglary of a vehicle parked at Tiki Hut, 134 S. Washington, between 12:45 and 2 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 2. Burglars took a $100 CD player and did $300 damage to the vehicle.

Aaron Copeland of Corsicana reported burglary of a vehicle parked at Muldoon's Saloon, 110 W. Railroad, between 11 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1 and 2 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 2. Burglars took a $40 speaker, an $80 shirt, a $200 amp and an unspecified $200 item.

Violence, weapons

Police took a report of sexual assault of a 14-year-old El Campo girl that occurred between Nov. 23 and Dec. 1.

County Jail Bookings Alcohol, drugs

Daniel Alfonso-Caldflas, 21, of 125 Rt. 3, No. 3 in El Campo, was booked Sunday, Dec. 2 for two counts of intoxicated assault. He was released the same day on $10,000 bond.

Property

Abel Gutierrez, 39, of 1005 Merchant was booked Tuesday, Nov. 27 for theft and issuance of a bad check. He was held on a $6,500 bond as of Thursday, Nov. 29.

Violence, weapons

Humberto R. Mejorado, 45, of Box 426 in Danevang was booked Wednesday, Nov. 21 on an indecency with a child warrant.

Thomas Joseph Munoz, 20, of 306 Bruns was booked Saturday, Nov. 24 on a warrant for aggravated assault of a public servant, a warrant for evading arrest with a vehicle and charges of public intoxication and capias pro fines.

Dawn Kemper, 23, of 1415 W. Norris was booked Monday, Nov. 26 on a warrant for assault. She posted $2,500 bond at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27.

Other

Shannon D. Barker, 31, of 201 Ave. F was booked Saturday, Nov. 24 for capias pro fines. He was released the same day.

Daniel Torres Sr., 39, of 131 Alley in Glen Flora was booked Monday, Dec. 3 for a bond forfeiture charge out of Montgomery County. He was held as of 3 p.m. the same day.

Daniel Olvera, 30, of 310 Forrester was booked Wednesday, Dec. 5 for probation violation. He was released at 11:25 a.m. the same day.

Christopher Hackney, 24, of El Campo was booked Wednesday, Dec. 5 on a motion to increase bond. He was held as of 10 a.m. the next day.

Clarence Dorn, 49, of 134 Pecan in Glen Flora was booked at 5:50 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5 for capias pro fines. He was held as of the next day while serving out four days in jail.

Jail population as of 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 6 was 104 prisoners.
