EC hitting camp starts this month

Area youth will have a chance to learn baseball techniques at the Ricebird Winter Hitting Camp Dec. 28.

Led by Kerry Brandl, head coach of El Campo's varsity baseball team, the camp is for hitters only.

Boys ages 7 to 9 years will participate from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. while boys ages 10 to 12 years will work from 11:15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.

Deadline for entry is Dec. 19. The camp costs $25 per child or $40 for two siblings and includes a camp T-shirt at the end of the day.
