Kristy Zapalac given baby shower

A baby shower honoring Kristy Vacek Zapalac was held Saturday, Dec. 15 at the Wharton County Electric Co-op. Hostesses were Betty Vacek, Kimberly Vacek, Amy Vacek, Lisa Sabrsula, Patsy Reynolds, Amy Staff, Linda Joki, Junie Tucker, Rose Ann Supak and Natalee Kou.

Decorations featured a yellow-green neutral gender theme with cloth-covered tables, baby register book and cake decorated as baby building blocks in yellow and green. The cake was half chocolate and half white. The food table was centered with a diaper cake made with baby Pampers and baby travel items surrounded by baby toys.

Refreshments of chicken salad and pimento sandwiches, sevenlayer dip, spinach dip, chips, vegetable tray, fruit tray, cookies, brownies, cake, baby shower punch and tea were served.

Special guests were Barbara Vacek and Frances Zapalac, grandmothers to-be; and Lucielle Kubecka, great-grandmother-to-be.

From the hostesses, Kristy received a Chicco complete travel system with a stroller and carrier.
