David and Lara Hlavaty of Houston announce the birth of their first child, a daughter named Krysten Jane Hlavaty. The baby was born at 7:52 a.m., Dec. 13, 2007 at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston weighing 6 pounds, 5.6 ounces and measuring 18 inches in length.

She is welcomed home by her brother Zachary Davis Johnson, age 10.

Maternal grandparents are Peter and Elisabeth Englefield of San Antonio. Paternal grandparents are A.J. and Jo Ann Hlavaty of El Campo.

Maternal great-grandparents are the late Margery and Roland Forbes of England and the late Nellie and William Englefield of England. Paternal great-grandparents are the late Willie E. and Mary Bartosh Balcar of El Campo and the late Frank and Josephine Huf Hlavaty Jr. of El Campo.

The mother is the former Lara Jane Englefield.
