Popp graduates with honors

JESSICA POPP

Jessica Marie Popp graduated cum laude from Sam Houston State University with a bachelor's degree in academic studies, EC-4 generalist. Commencement was held Saturday, Dec. 15, 2007.

Popp is a member of the Sam Houston Association of the Education of Young Children, Texas State Teacher's Association, Golden Key National Honor Society, Association of Texas Professional Educators and Texas Classroom Teachers Association.

While a student at SHSU, she was named to the dean's list, national dean's list and president's honor roll.

She is the daughter of Gregory and Fae Popp of El Campo and a 2003 graduate of El Campo High School.

After graduation, Popp celebrated with approximately 40 family members and friends at the home of Wayne and Sharla Young of Huntsville. The party was hosted by her parents.

Popp will be a second grade teacher for Lamar CISD.
