Lillian Bolander

Lillian Kahanek Ripple Bolander, 96, of El Campo, died Friday, Dec. 14, 2007.

She was born on Nov. 8, 1911 in Taiton to Ignatz and Matilda Sliva Kahanek. She was a beautician for many years, a homemaker and a member of the KJZT.

Survivors include her brothers, Victor Kahanek and wife Katheryn of Hallettsville and Valentine Kahanek and wife Betty of Houston; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Ladin Ripple and Randolph Bolander; brothers, Ignatz Kahanek Jr. and B.J. Kahanek.

A Parish rosary was recited Monday, Dec. 17 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Philip Catholic Church followed by funeral services at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Gary Janak officiating. Interment followed at Garden of Memories Cemetery under the direction of Triska Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Kyle Kahanek, Christopher Kahanek, Val Kahanek Jr., Ron Kahanek, Joe Coleman, Dwayne Ritchie and Mark Hansen.

Memorials in memory of Lillian Bolander may be made to the St. Philip Church Building Fund.
