Council meeting cancelled due to Christmas holiday

Christmas will be a day spent with family, not Council concerns, city leaders agreed during their last session.

So despite the calendar, City Council will not meet the fourth Tuesday of this month.

The fourth Tuesday is Christmas.

City leaders will return to municipal business in January.

To accommodate Mayor Phillip Spenrath's high school coaching schedule, January and February City Council sessions will be moved to Mondays.

The next City Council meeting, unless a special or emergency session is called, will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14, 2008.

Council sessions are held in chambers, 315 E. Jackson, and are open to the public.
