Police Blotter City Arrests Alcohol, drugs A 14-year-old El Campo boy was arrested at 11:14 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19 on charges of possession of 2 ounces or less of marijuana and minor in possession of tobacco. He allegedly stole keys to a car and drove to Sunnyside Inn, 1214 S. Mechanic, with a 15-year-old boy. Police found them there, and the boys said they'd gone into the club to use the restroom. The 15-yearold was charged with possession of 2 ounces or less of marijuana. Both were sent to a juvenile detention facility the next day. Property Steven Edward Thompson, 31, of 3639 CR 422 in El Campo was arrested at 10:39 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18 on warrants for issuance of a bad check and running a red light, two warrants for speeding and a charge of no driver's license. He was released the same day after paying $878.06 in fines. Other Casmiro Ruiz Olvera, 43, of 1319 Ella was arrested at 11:55 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18 on charges of failure to identify and public intoxication. He was transferred to Wharton County Jail the next day. Timothy Wayne Edwards, 42, of 2208 Valley Dr. in Eagle Lake was arrested at 2:35 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 20 on charges of failure to identify - fugitive from justice, failure to signal lane change or turn, expired driver's license and excessive acceleration and three warrants for no insurance. He was transferred to county jail the same day. Christopher Scott Romero, 23, of 1010 Ave. E was arrested at 3:21 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 20 on a Jackson County warrant for probation violation and a charge of public intoxication. U.S. 59, reported a deceptive business practice involving a stolen check for $235.44 on Nov. 13. Elizabeth Soria reported theft from 602 August between 7:36 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10 and 7:45 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14. Thieves took electronics worth $242. Carolina Covarrubia reported theft of $2,650 in jewelry and $300 in cash between 6 and 10 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13.
