Jesus Silvas

Jesus Silvas, 56, of Mathis, died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2007.

He was born Aug. 1, 1951 in Gregory. Mr. Silvas was a truck driver.

Survivors include his wife, Elisa G. Silvas of Mathis; daughters, Rose Linda Gaona of Rosenberg, Lisa Silvas of El Campo and Alamar Bernal of El Campo; sons, Bartol Silvas of Pasadena and Jesse Garcia of Conway, S.C.; sisters, Erminia Perez of Beeville, Lydia Bernal of Austwell and Clemencia Martinez of Mathis; brothers, Guadalupe Silva of Edinburg and Rosendo Silva of Mathis; and nine grandchildren.

A Rosary was recited Friday, Dec. 21 at 7 p.m. at Dobie Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be today, Dec. 22 at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Mathis. Burial will follow in Descanso Eterno Cemetery #2 in Mathis.
