Serious Injuries
Two young Louise men were seriously injured Christmas Eve in a wreck before dawn along FM 647 East in Louise. They were in a sport-utility vehicle which rolled and landed on its driver's side, ejecting 22-year-old Garrett Williamson and pinning in 23-year-old Robbie Erwin. A bystander saw the wrecked SUV and called authorities around 6:25 a.m. Monday morning, but the accident likely occurred earlier because the vehicle's engine reportedly was cold when rescuers arrived. After Louise volunteer firefighters used rescue tools to cut Erwin from the wrecked vehicle, the two were taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston by two Life Flight helicopter ambulances. Williamson had possible spinal injuries, while Ewrin had injuries to his pelvis. No further information on the accident was available at presstime.
