LETTERS TO THE EDITOR Blessing Cup says thanks Editor, the Leader-News:As in years past, the generosity of the El Campo community to the less fortunate poured out at the Christmas holidays this year. We are so blessed to live in a community filled with caring and thoughtful citizens who consider the needs of others during this joyous season. On behalf of the Blessing Cup Storehouse, I give my heartfelt thanks to the churches, community organizations, businesses and individuals in this area for the donations of food, toys, clothing, blankets and cash contributions. I also want to thank the many faithful volunteers who give their time and energy to the Blessing Cup Storehouse. These volunteers provide support to the Blessing Cup Storehouse's year-round mission of helping serve those in need in our community. Greg Witcher President, Blessing Cup Storehouse Blood drive a huge success Editor, the Leader-News:To the El Campo community: Thank you for supporting the El Campo High School National Honor Society and Student Council Blood Drive. Thanks to your support, 98 units were donated during this high-usage time of year. We were so busy that we had to turn away some prospective donors due to time constraints, and we apologize for the inconvenience. We will work to have more beds available and a longer time frame for our next drive, scheduled for February. Again, thank you for your continued support of our projects. Molly Kresta Gloria Brandl |
