GCMC changes food program

Gulf Coast Medical Center's dining service program has joined the Morrison Healthcare Food Services team.

This is not a cost-savings measure for Gulf Coast Medical Center, but rather a quality improvement decision allowing food and nutrition associates to benefit through additional resources and expanded career paths.

"Our food and nutrition employees will receive the best of both worlds. They will have continued relationships with their medical center family while working for a company that focuses on their food service career," said Donnie Frederic, CEO at Gulf Coast Medical Center.

Frederic added Morrison has a very compatible culture to GCMC.

"Morrison believes strongly in our people. Individual contributions are responsible for our success and each person's commitment defines our future," said Joe O'Brien, regional vice president for Morrison. "As a company, we celebrate the creativity, determination and enthusiasm of our people to provide great service for our patients."
