Paul Vinklarek

Paul P. Vinklarek, 86, of El Campo, died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2008.

He was born on Sept. 28, 1921 in Hochiem to Joe and Frankeska Kalinec Vinklarek. He was a farmer and owner of Paul's Auto Service.

Paul married his adoring wife of 66 years, Anita Jurek Vinklarek, in Sept. 1941. His family also includes daughters, Paulette Vinklarek Roe and husband Lonnie of Pearland and Mitzi Vinklarek Shields and husband Steve of Houston Heights; grandchildren, Darlene Roe Watson (deceased in 2000), Russell Kubecka and wife Zellke of Dayton, Chris Paul Roe of Pearland, Shawna Marie Blanton of Spring, Scott Shields of Germany, Brian Shields and Denise Shields both of Kansas; sisters, Pauline Paul of Houston and Helen Adcock of Yoakum; 12 greatgrandchildren; and one greatgreat grandchild.

He was preceded in death by four sisters and one brother.

A Parish rosary was recited Tuesday, Jan. 8 at 7 p.m. at Triska Funeral Home. The funeral Mass will be today, Wednesday, Jan. 9, at 1 p.m. at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church with the Rev. Gary Janak officiating. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Memorial Park Mausoleum under the direction of Triska Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Philip Church or to Hospice Support Care.
