City Arrests

Ramiro Ambroso Rodriguez Jr., 18, of 602 August was arrested at 6:44 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9 on a warrant for criminal trespass at a habitation/shelter center. He remained in custody at presstime.

Maria Garza Valenzuela, 59, of 511 E. Norris was arrested at 4:24 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10 on charges of failure to report an accident, unsafe backing and no insurance and a warrant for no insurance after allegedly backing into a car in a parking lot then leaving the scene. She was released the same day after paying $987.53 in fines.

City Incidents Property

Leighann Bryant reported burglary of a habitation at 942 CR 310 in El Campo between 10 a.m. and 11 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 23. Thieves took a $940 32-inch Westinghouse television.

Texas Auto Crushing of Shepherd reported criminal mischief at Gulf Coast Salvage on CR 408 that resulted in $2,000 in window damage between 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 30 and 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2.

Violence, weapons

A 29-year-old El Campo man reported aggravated assault with a deadly weapon (vehicle) at the Pan American Ballroom on FM 1163 between 1:58 and 2:01 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5.

County Jail Bookings Alcohol, drugs

Brandon Gardner, 26, of 906 E. Hillje was booked into Wharton County Jail at 3:41 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 10 for possession of marijuana, unlawfully carrying a weapon and tampering/ fabricating evidence.

David Flores, 31, of 9445 FM 102 in Glen Flora was booked at noon Wednesday, Jan. 9 for probation violation.

Marcus Lynell Earls, 18, of 1111 Merchant was booked at 2:15 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9 for bond forfeiture.

Patrick Murray, 37, of 811 Marionette was booked at 10:55 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 10 for parole violation.
