Antonia Gerla
Antonia Gerla of El Campo, died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2008.

She was born on Dec. 25, 1919 in El Campo to Anton and Agnes Orsak Hubenak. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, SPJST and the KJZT Society.

Survivors include sons, Anthony Gerla of El Campo, Lawrence Gerla and wife Susan of Louise and Ray Gerla and wife Kathy of El Campo; daughterin law, Jackie Gerla of New Summerfield; and grandchildren, Jeff Gerla, Jill Zbranek, Rick Gerla, Ashley Gerla and Tracy Gerla.

Her husband, Richard Gerla; son, Richard Gerla; sisters, Millie Pasak and Evelyn Naiser; and brothers, Ed and Arnold Hubenak, preceded her in death.

A Parish and Catholic Daughters wake service was held Thursday, Jan. 10 at 7 p.m. at Triska Funeral Home. Funeral services were held Friday, Jan. 11 at 11 a.m. at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church with the Rev. Gary Janak offi- ciating. Burial followed at the Holy Cross Memorial Park.

Pallbearers were Jeff Gerla, Rick Gerla, Ronnie Pasak, Gary Preuss, Jerry Naiser and Roger Zbranek.

Honorary pallbearers were Tracy Gerla, Ashley Gerla, Jill Zbranek and Ashley Arnold Gerla.
