Extra team to make playoffs in Class 4-A

      Class 4-A will likely have deeper playoff brackets beginning in the 2008- 09 school year. University Interscholastic League officials, the governing body of all Texas high school athletics, announced the addition of a fourth team to the postseason in all team sports in a press release Thursday.

      Tuesday's 57-56 loss to Lamar Consolidated in Rosenberg gave the Lady 'Birds a date to look forward to immediately after the game. El Campo will host the Lady Mustangs Jan. 25 for a chance for revenge in the close defeat.
