Police Blotter City Arrests Alcohol, drugs Leigh Anna Krenek, 37, of 1311 Briar Lane in Wharton was arrested at 2:23 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12 on charges of driving while intoxicated, expired registration and expired motor vehicle inspection certificate, after being stopped for running a flashing red light. She was transferred to the Wharton County Jail the same day. Anthony Ray Shelton, 45, of 407 S. Wharton was arrested at 10:26 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13 on charges of driving while intoxicated - second offense, no insurance, open alcohol container in a motor vehicle, no driver's license and no seat belt. He was transferred to county jail the next day and held on $4,500 bond. Property A 14-year-old El Campo boy was arrested at 6:22 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12 on a charge of theft after allegedly stealing a couple of bags of groceries worth more than $50 from H-E-B, then fleeing on a skateboard. He was released to the custody of a relative the same day. Deidre Antoinette Coulter, 22, of 1111 Ave. F was arrested at 9:37 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14 on a warrant for issuance of a bad check. She was released the next day after paying a $429.22 fine. Other Haralabos Sotiris Panagiotopoulos, 18, of 1110 Pinchot was arrested at 9:59 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11 on charges of tampering with a government record and failure to identify. He allegedly altered a DPS ID card and lied about his name to police. He was released the next day on $3,000 bond. A 16-year-old El Campo boy was arrested at 10:44 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11 on charges of resisting arrest, search or transport and criminal trespass, and cited for disorderly conduct - language, after refusing to leave a parking lot in which he was skateboarding after the business' manager asked him repeatedly to leave. He was transferred to the Victoria County Juvenile Detention Center the next day. Abelino Medina Jr., 21, of 1202 Sam was arrested at 9:20 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12 on a Victoria County warrant for probation violation and warrants for failure to appear and no driver's license. He was released the next day on $1,500 bond. Selina Mirella Arrambide, 32, of 705 Betty was arrested at 5:55 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13 on charges of no insurance, warrants for disorderly conduct - fighting, open alcohol container in a motor vehicle and possession of drug paraphernalia and two warrants for failure to appear. Burglars took a $400 Sony DVD player, a $300 pink digital camera, $50 in DVDs and a $50 diamond necklace. County Jail Bookings Alcohol, drugs Juan F. Tijerina, 26, of 9373 Hwy. 71 in Danevang was booked at 8:19 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10 for possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and driving while license license invalid (second offense). He was released Friday, Jan. 11 on $6,000 bond. Violence, weapons Carmelo Medrano, 40, of Rt. 3, Box 125, Lot 13 in El Campo was booked at 11:13 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 13 on warrants for terroristic threat and violating a protective order.
