Baby shower held for Irby

A baby shower honoring Natalie Irby was held Saturday, Jan. 12 from 10 a.m. - noon at the Wharton County Electric Co-op's Thomas Edison Room.

The party area was decorated in the baby room colors of chocolate brown, pool blue and pink. The registration table held a baby quilt along with baby pictures of the parents-tobe.

A variety of finger sandwiches, tortilla pinwheels, chips, dips, fruit and desserts were served. A cake decorated in the chosen theme read: "Cute as a Button."

Special guests were Lena Tupa, future maternal grandmother; Linda Irby, future paternal grandmother; and Betty Konvicka, future paternal great-grandmother.

Hostesses presented the honoree with a highchair.
