DIAPER SET Ava Blanco Mr. and Mrs. Christopher R. Blanco of Chesapeake, Va. announce the birth of their first child, a daughter named Ava Grace Blanco. The baby was born at 1:14 p.m., Jan. 10, 2008 at Chesapeake General Hospital in Chesapeake, Va. weighing 7 pounds, 1 ounce. Maternal grandparents are Bill and Belinda Clemons of Chesapeake, Va. Paternal grandparents are Tom and Patsy Coblentz of El Campo and Benjamin Blanco of Pampa. Great-grandparents are Toni Munoz and Manuel Munoz Sr. of El Campo, Bobby and JoAnne Shearin of Chesapeake, Va., and Ted and Mary Clemons of Florida. The mother is the former Leesa Gail Clemons. Archer Hyde Cassondra and Clint Hyde announce the birth of their second son, Archer Wade Hyde. The baby was born Jan. 7, 2008 at Citizen's Hospital in Victoria weighing 7 pounds, 1 ounce and measuring 19 inches long. Archer's brother and sisters are Gavin Hyde, age 22 months; Chelsea, age 10; Sky, age 7; and Earth, age 5. Maternal grandmother is Edna Lara of Victoria. Paternal grandparents are Laddie and Dorothy Kocian of El Campo. Great-grandmother is Lucielle Ash of El Campo. The mother is the former Cassondra Lara. Kelsi Prihoda Kelsi Nicole Prihoda, daughter of Chad and Laura Prihoda of El Campo, was baptized at 11 a.m., Jan. 13, 2008 at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church in El Campo. The Rev. Gary W. Janak performed the sacrament of baptism. Kelsi's godparents are Mitchell and Robin Whitley, uncle and aunt. She wore a family heirloom white gown with lace and bows with a bonnet. Lunch was hosted by Kelsi's parents and sister Savannah at the home of her grandparents, Eric and Kathy Burrow. The menu consisted of fried chicken with all the trimmings. Desserts were an assortment of fruit, cheese roll, chocolate cakes, pies and a baptismal cake decorated with roses and a cross. Special guests were Fred and Delores Prihoda and Eric and Kathy Burrow of El Campo, grandparents; Bill and Gertrude Burrow of Ezzell, great-grandparents; her godparents, Angela Koudela, aunt; and the Rev. Janak. Kelsi received a sterling silver necklace and bracelet from her parents and an angel teddy bear and colorful rosary from her sister. Other gifts were money, clothes, picture frames, handmade quilt and a singing teddy bear. |
